The Minnesota Mortgage Program (MMP) is a first time homebuyer loan program that helps low to moderate income Minnesotans buy a home. The affordable, low, fixed interest rates are available to eligible homebuyers statewide. Additionally you may receive up to $8,500 in down payment and closing cost assistance.
CASA Program The Community Activity Set Aside (CASA) program is a first time homebuyer loan program that helps with down payment and closing cost assistance. The CASA program offers up to $8,500 in assistance to qualified borrowers. This affordable, low, fixed interest rate program is eligible to homebuyers in the metro area and several communities around the state. Homebuyer education is required for all borrowers receiving a CASA loan. - Below-market interest rates

- 30-year fixed rate loan
To qualify you must be a first time home buyer (not owned a home the past 3 years), meet the income and purchase price limits and have acceptable credit.
Those homebuyers who use down payment assistance programs are still eligible for the Homebuyer federal tax credit.
Additional Down Payment Assistance Down payment assistance programs can be combined with the initial program for even more down payment help! Extra funds are available in the Twin City area such as Edina, Minneapolis, Chaska and Plymouth just to name a few. Many Metro area counties like Anoka and Hennepin have additional funds that we can layer in to help with down payment. When packaged, the total down payment assistance can add up to $70,000!
